Exhausting. Exhilarating. Exciting. Camp Outreach can be described
lots of ways, but volunteers at the annual service camp, held in
inner-city Indianapolis June 19-25, agree that it is life-changing.
Whether it's teaching the Bible to children, putting a roof on the
home of a widow, replacing crumbling steps, or covering graffiti on
bridges, the work is satisfying, purposeful, and surprisingly fun!
Youth, (12 up), families, young adults, and retired people stay in
dorms or motel rooms at Camp Camby, a rural church camp just minutes
from downtown Indy. Bible studies and debrief sessions, swimming and
sports round out the free time.
Applications may be downloaded from the
Camp Outreach website.
Camp fees are subsidized by donations to Common
Ground Christian Ministries, and your cost of $135 covers food,
housing and activities.
