Hi Friend,

This is President's Weekend so a group of us are traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a Retreat that has come to be an annual event. We'll be joined by friends from several states as we seek solitude in the mountains of east Tennessee away from the world.

Each week the Prayer Team in the Cincinnati Congregation selects items of importance to pray about. There is benefit in group prayer. One good example is the instruction to married couples from the Apostle Peter who admonishes couples to be unified "so that your prayers be not hindered." (1 Peter 3:7) We've seen good results from prayers offered from the unified congregational family.

There are several events on the church calendar that the Prayer Team is focused on this week. I thought it good to include three of those items so you can be informed of them and also add your prayers to ours.

1) Young Adult retreat: This weekend is the Young Adult retreat in Gatlinburg. Please pray for God's guidance, presence and wisdom for the presenters and the Youth. May He lead many of the Youth to make a life commitment to Him.

2) Next Sabbath is our Super Sabbath and Youth Service. It is our hope and prayer that we can be a blessing to our many brethren that will be joining us and that we can all enjoy Godly fellowship and support.

3) Three teens from our congregation will be going to
India this summer on a mission trip. They could certainly use prayers for provision (they need to raise a lot of money!), safety and for God to use them according to His perfect will.

So, there you are. Several exciting things are happening. We'll keep you posted. Please keep us in your prayers.

Until next time,

Jim O'Brien
