Winter Family Tournament 2007

You're invited to the 11th Annual Winter Family Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky!
The list of speakers and activities promises an exciting weekend for the entire family!
Housing
The host hotel is the fabulous Griffin Gate Marriott Resort for the low flat rate
of $50 per night. This outstanding resort carries a Mobil four-star rating and normally
charges over $150 per night for the same rooms. But it's only $50 at the Winter Family
Tournament beginning December 21st if you mention the Church of God. To reserve

Free shuttle service is available from the Lexington airport.
One of the new additions to the Marriott is a spa. Come a day early, at the same low rate, or
stay a day longer and enjoy a relaxing massage, facial or manicure in one of the most relaxing environments
imaginable. It's all available at Griffin Gate Marriott in 2007.

just minutes from some of the most beautiful and celebrated horse farms in the world.
Activities
Activities will begin at 7:30 pm Friday evening December 21st with the
opening seminar. Several excellent speakers have committed to be here.
Some well known personalities within the Sabbatarian community
who have never attended before are planning to be here. We will let you
know the names after the Feast of Tabernacles. Church services will
take place at 2:30 pm on Saturday December 22nd.
Young Adult/Teen Activities
The first activity of the tournament is a "Meet & Greet"
get-together for young adults and teens at 7:00 pm Friday evening in the Calumet and Darby Dan
Meeting Rooms directly across from the Grand Ballroom. Food and music will be
provided. This will be followed at 7:30 pm
with an interactive discussion hosted by Dave Havir as young people discuss issues
relevant to them in the 21st century Church of God.
Sabbath morning a special seminar for the same group will
occur at 10:30 am. Saturday night a Music Fest will take place in
the Grand Ballroom featuring a variety of inspiring contemporary worship music.
Youth Rally
Sunday night at 7:30 pm a Youth Rally, one of the most inspiring events at the
Feast of Tabernacles, will again take place at the Marriott led by a group of young adults.
Stuff for the Kids
And there's plenty for the kids beginning Friday evening
with a presentation called PJ & Pals where younger kids can be educated and
entertained before heading off to bed. In addition to PJ & Pals, there will
be Sabbath morning classes for each age group beginning with the 3-year-olds up
through early teens.

Sports and Registration
Kentucky Basketball Academy, a state-of-the-art sports facility
for major college athletic training, is the host facility for basketball
and volleyball. Gymnastics, soccer, and ping pong will take place
at nearby locations.
Entry fees for sports are $10 per person or a maximum of $40 per
family.

Volunteers Needed!!
Want to help? There’s a place to serve. This is a major task for two small
congregations. Whether it’s teaching a Sabbath class for the kids, serving
food, helping referee or score a game, you’re help is a valuable contribution
to the tournament activities. Contact me or check the web site to indicate
the area you are willing to help.
