The inspiring church services and list of insightful seminar speakers together with athletic and social events promises an exciting weekend for the entire family. <br /><br /> <b>Housing</b><br /> The host hotel is the beautiful Griffin Gate Marriott Resort at the low flat rate of $54 per night. It is unheard of to find a rate this low at any Marriott Hotel but the Griffin Gate is one of the finest in the country. This outstanding resort carries a Mobil four-star rating and charges $179 per night for the same rooms. But it's only $54 for those attending the Winter Family Weekend beginning Thursday December 22nd if you mention the Church of God. <br /><br /> To reserve your room call the Marriott at 800-391-6690, or reserve on the web at <a href="http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/LEXKY?groupCode=CGDCGDA&app=resvlink&fromDate=12/22/11&toDate=12/27/11" target="_Blank">Marriott Reservations</a>. When the page is opened, the church code will enter automatically. Look to the right on the screen for the space to enter the dates you are reserving. Activities begin on Friday December 23rd with activities to conclude on Tuesday December 27th. After reserving your desired dates, look for the FIND button below the dates and click on it. The screen will provide prompts to complete the transaction. <br /><br /> The Marriott is located at <a href="http://marriott.com/property/mapandnearbyairports/default.mi?marshaCode=lexky&WT_Ref=mi_left" target="_blank">I-75 and Newtown Pike in Lexington, Kentucky</a> just minutes from some of the most beautiful and celebrated horse farms in the world. <br /><br /> If you will be flying into the Lexington airport we will be glad to provide transportation to and from the hotel. Please contact us by email or phone at the address at the bottom of this page. <br /><br /> <b>Activities</b><br /> We will begin our time together on Friday night with a worship service, kids bible activities, and interactive small group studies. Sabbath morning brings seminars and Sabbath classes followed by a worship service. Saturday night we will share in a family meal and dance. Sunday and Monday we will spend our days at the Kentucky Basketball Academy playing, crafting, eating and mingling. The nights will be back at the Marriott with plenty of fun activities and opportunities to just enjoy being together. Soccer, flag football, ping pong and roller skating will take place at nearby locations. <br /><br /> You are welcome to register an entire team or you can join a team upon arrival. If you are bringing a team, please help us make the sports activities more cohesive by signing up your teams in advance.
